Cara Jumpsuit–SimpleSew Patterns

Since, jumpsuits are back in a fashion, I ended up joining the club in making my self a few. The last one I made is the Cara Jumpsuit from SimpleSew Patterns.

In exchange for making a tutorial I was gifted the pattern and fabric by SimpleSew Patterns, respectively WhiteTree Fabrics.

My first tutorial for SimpleSew Patterns is now up on their blog. In my tutorial I talk about how to change the paper pattern to fit better before starting to cut and sew the garment. Follow the link here for more details. Hope you find it useful. IMG_1461It’s been fun making this. The fabric is so soft on the skin. Love wearing it. I also prefer to pull up the pants closer to the waist. Think it suits me better and makes my legs a little longer. IMG_2466IMG_2479 I am thinking for my next one to make the top in one colour and the bottom in another. Some colour blocking would be nice and make it look like two separate garments. There are many options with this pattern.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me. Also I’d love to see your versions.

For my jump suit I used crepe backed satin royal blue (SKU number 1619-06). If you fancy getting some fabric or notions from WhiteTree Fabrics , you can still use the code ATTICK to get 20% off your order.

I don't really like talking about myself. But, I love sewing and after reading a lot of blogs on the internet about it, I've decided to give it a go as well. I am Romanian born, but live in the UK. I am a bit selfish when it comes to sewing. I tend to make stuff more for myself. Others have to go through a lot of torture in order for me to make something. My mum did it twice. Well I only wanted to make the dresses fit her perfectly. And in the end they looked great.
